Our Farm & Roots
Catskills Comfrey is our small medicinal farm in Delaware County, NY, where we grow comfrey, arnica, calendula and CBD-dominant, medicinal hemp. Harvested two-three times every season, our comfrey plants are never treated with herbicides, pesticides, or anything else you would not want on your skin. We fertilize the comfrey with a shovelful of aged horse manure and let our beautiful plants soak up the fresh country. With nearly 400 comfrey plants in the ground, we infuse a heavy concentration of comfrey in all our ointments. Catskills Comfrey, clean and green skincare, is handcrafted in small batches to create high-quality, rich-potency, comfrey based ointments. Catskills Comfrey ointments are topical applications consisting of fractionated/MCT coconut and Greek olive oils, infused/dried comfrey and beeswax, with additional herbs added to enhance your skin health. No artificial ingredients, colors or scents are used. Comfrey's natural allantoin, a cell-proliferant, promotes new cell growth, supporting your own body's inclination to heal itself.
All our ointments are comfrey-based, ie, they each contain the exact, same high-concentration of infused comfrey. Other herbs that we utilize include arnica, calendula, hemp and chili pepper. We grow all of our herbs except for the Carolina Reaper chili pepper, the world’s hottest pepper.
